If you look at Pantech PG 3600V, its design will remind you to Apple’s great invention, the iPod. Yes, it looks very much like the iPod. With 176 x 220 pixels screen and round touch wheel sensor below the screen, you can mistakenly think that it’s an iPod. I think Pantech is trying to follow the success of iPod, but I don’t think they will come to that kind of success iPod have.
The Pantech PG 3600V launched on February 2006, already have MP3 player in it. But only MP3, it doesn’t support AAC or AAC+. The internal memory is quite small to save MP3 files. The Pantech PG 3600V only have 32MB internal memory, so if one MP3 file approximately 4MB, it only can have 8 MP3 songs in it. Not exactly an iPod to me. But however, to eliminate this downside, the Pantech PG 3600V equipped with an external memory slot to support microSD (TransFlash) memory.
The Pantech PG 3600V comes in two colors, black and pink. At the back side of the cellphone, you’ll find 1.3MP (1280 x 1024 pixels) camera and video. Quite nice although it’s only 1.3MP, since lots of cellphone still use VGA camera.
For connecting to the net, this Pantech cellphone is equipped with GPRS class 10, but it doesn’t support 3G and EDGE. If you need to transfer your data, you can use Bluetooth and USB port.
Nothing really special about this cellphone except for the iPod design. So if you want a cellphone that looks like an iPod, you can choose the Pantech PG 3600V as your cellphone.
